G'day again!

It's been a while since I last updated so here are a few pics from recent times. Have done a bit of travelling recently, seen more of Japan, and also been to Thailand. Below are some pics from around Japan.

Went to Mt. Fuji a few weeks ago, nice to see the big fella, although I had to be patient as it is a notorioulsy shy mountain.

Around an altitude of 2300m on Mt. Fuji. You can always get a good feed anywhere in Japan. There is even a vending machine on top of Mt. Fuji!

At the Kawaguchi-ko 5th station, the end of the road up Mt. Fuji. To make it to the summit of 3776m you have to walk the rest. Unfortunately I couldn't climb it as it was outside 'climbing season' when i visited 'the FooJ', so with a skeleton bus service on offer, I didn't have near enought time to get up and back down and then get back in time for the shinkansen (bullet train) to head back to Fukuoka.

This fella was thriilled to pose for the camera showing off his bon jovi mullet....a very popular hairstyle over here.

A Maiko (apprentice geisha) on the street of Kyoto.

I've grown a bit over here!

3rd time at Aso-san volcano, took Rob here on his visit. Pictures with Hiromi who was great, she drove around all day.

Mt. Takasaki, where we strolled amongst hundreds of monkeys who were without a care in the world.....except for grooming and eating!

Spot the monkey!

Hiromi up close and personal.

Samurai armour, Hiroshima castle.

Rob enjoying some Japanese tradition

Hiroshima castle.

On the bridge which was the target point for the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima.

School kids in Hiroshima.

One of the few buildings left somewhat standing after the bomb exploded over Hiroshima.

Rob, his girlfriend Marina and myself at the temple in Kawatana, giving them the experience of having lunch at the temple with the monks. Good fun.
