Farewell Sasebo
G'day again!
Well things around here recently have been interesting to say the least. We've had a couple of farewell parties for Trev, Heather and myself combined, which have been some of the best nights I've had while in Japan, and included some great karaoke tunes at one bar.
A few days ago we had a seaside festival which culminated in a 10,000 fireworks show that lasted around 50 minutes.
Also plans have slighty changed, I am now going to stay in Fukuoka, and not move to Kumamoto after 2 weeks in Fukuoka as I had previously planned. Fukuoka is a really fun city so it will be a good move.
My last visit to the Kawatana Temple was a lot of fun. Trev and Rob (trev's mate from Oz) came along, and we spent a few hours chatting, drinking, and eating some quality sushi.
The monks were also kind enough to give us some t-shirts, mine had a surfing monk on the back.

Yumi took a while to chomp on this corn.
Here are some pics from the parties:
Homare and me.
A serious conversation. Trying to understand girls??!
Adding a bit of colour.
We had private use of this bar for the farewell party, good times.
Mari, Kazushi, myself and Mihoko.
Yumi, after having quite a few drinks.
arm rests.
Miki needed some help to get to the next bar.
Rob getting his introduction to Habu Sake. (Habu is a venomous snake found in southern Japan. The snake is preserved in a jar of sake, and the sake is taken as a shot.) I encountered this scenario on my first night in Japan.
Yumi and me on the rooftop beer garden.
Trev, and an awake Miki.
I recently cut my own hair, turned out alright I reckon. And how about the mullet!
All the best, catchya from Fukuoka!

'Tis sad to be leaving, but the parties have been fun! And there are sure to be many exciting adventures ahead!
Hope the Kyoto thing works out and we can convince Miki to come!
